Which zodiac sign where you born under? Virgo

If a magic fish granted you one wish, what would it be? The power of independent flight. It would make it so much faster to get everywhere and be a lot of fun.

What inspired your story?

Me: Okay. I need a fantasy story with fish in it.
Muse: Robot fish!
Me: Fantasy, not science fiction.
Muse: But…but…can I please have robot fish?
Me: No.
Muse: What if they were…steampunk golem fish?

At that point it just ran away with me, as all the best stories tend to do.

Did you listen to music while writing it? I always have music on in the background, but I tend to tune it out. I can’t write without it, but I couldn’t tell you what was actually playing at the time.

How many rewrites did you do before submitting? Three.

What is your favorite bit?

“Likely. Let’s see if we can land it. Although it looked to be, what, three feet long?”

“Isn’t that the normal size for the one that got away?” Not that she meant, exactly, to accuse Ron of exaggerating, but it had looked smaller to her.
